Northern Mariposa County History Center

Located just minutes from Yosemite Springs is the Northern Mariposa County History Center which houses a 1/12' scale model of the 16,000 square foot Coulterville Hotel during the height of the Gold Rush. The model took 4,000 hours to build and was painstakingly researched, designed and built by the Braun family and then donated to the History Center. The History Center also has artifacts from the numerous hard rock mines that produced some of the richest gold ore in history.
